Texas High School Project

Jon Huggett, while a Partner at Bridgespan, played a transformative role as a mentor, advisor and thought partner over the course of a Texas High School Project strategic planning engagement in 2005-2006 and a subsequent governance project. Jon’s combination of emotional intelligence, corporate experience and wisdom were critical factors in my successfully navigating a challenging period in the development of statewide public-private initiative. Thanks to the strategy developed with Jon and his team, THSP public-private initiative between the state of Texas and philanthropists including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has grown to over $346M and comprises 172 new and redesigned schools serving 83,000 predominantly low income students
