Jon Huggett coaches leaders and advises boards globally.

COACHING

Jon Huggett coaches chief executives around the world. He is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach and a Professional Certified Coach of the International Coach Federation.

advisory

He has advised in both the private and social sectors, including The Wikimedia Foundation, Médecins Sans Frontières, The Open Society Institute, Sentebale, Social Ventures Australia, and many more. He often works in partnership with Public Equity Group and Spring Impact.

Jon has served on the boards of the Social Innovation Exchange, a global network of social innovators (founding chair); the Organization for Refuge, Asylum and Migration (founding chair); the global campaign All Out (chair); Khulisa in the UK (chair); the STOP AIDS Project in San Francisco (president); Zitter Health Insights; Volta Impact; The Zetema Project; the Stanford Graduate School of Business Alumni Allies for Equity; and Future Care Capital; Alwan Foundation and GiveOut.

CAREER

Jon was a Partner with The Bridgespan Group in San Francisco and New York, where he helped open the office. Prior to this work, he was a Partner with Bain & Company in Johannesburg and Toronto. Earlier in his career, he worked for The Boston Consulting Group in San Francisco and in New York.

He has run three companies: a $75M health care operation on four continents; the London-based subsidiary of DAI, focused on economic development in emerging countries; and Planet Out, a lesbian and gay web company. Jon began his career at P&G in sales and brand management.

Jon has led or help found five organizations working for LGBT equality: the STOP AIDS Project, Planet Out, B-GLAD (the Bain & Bridgespan Gay & Lesbian Alliance for Diversity), the Organization for Refuge, Asylum and Migration , and All Out.

Jon has written articles published in Stanford Social Innovation Review, Huffington Post, Nonprofit Quarterly and Stanford Business in the USA; The Guardian, Governance & Leadership and NetWork in the UK; Third Sector Magazine and Social Ventures Australia Consulting Quarterly in Australia; Business Day in South Africa; and The Globe and Mail in Canada. He is the author of book chapters on social enterprise and global nonprofits.

TEACHING

Jon received his BA and MA from Trinity College at Oxford University, and went on to earn his MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business, where he graduated as an Arjay Miller Scholar.

Jon has visited over 100 countries: more than half of the members of the UN.

He is dual citizen of both the USA and the UK.
